Installation, Düsseldorf 2006
Project details
As part of the ‘Zoopapapa’ project, various patterned floor to ceiling lengths of material are hung as curtains from the roof of the building. The lengths of material are mobile and can move like curtains. The wind plays with the material and makes the building appear like a colourful ship. Children run through the material and play hide and seek. The previously empty shelter becomes a protected interior space. You can only see out between the pieces of fabric. The installation withstood wind and weather, the sometimes rough play of children, damage and theft. During the summer of 2006 it met with the approval of children and other visitors to the park, for a total of over three weeks.
